Vitara Steel Bull Bar

Hi all

We have not forgotten our Vitara customers and will see that we have a few new products coming out.

The first is the new Steel Bull Bar that is Winch compatible. This is a bolt on bar so nothing will need to be cut but you may need to drill holes for the mounting brackets depending on the model.

The first version available fits the swb 1.6L with versions coming for the other engine sizes and the lwb versions too.

We have tried to get Xrox to make a bar for the Vitara like the Grand Vitara and the XL7
but unfortunately its not going to happen but now this bar has been redone its comes in at
32Kg when Xrox bars are 45Kg, thats 13Kg lighter!

The Bar comes with the mounts for the winch, as well as having 4 mounting holes for spot lights

So for a great Steel Bull Bar that can hold a winch as well as giving your Vitara that Sexy look!

Suzuki Grand Vitara Steel Bull Bar

Hi all

After many years there is finely a Steel Bull bar for the Grand Vitara 98 - 05 models.

We came across the factory that was making the XROX Steel bars for other makes and asked the question and we were turned down, so a few more phone calls over the space of a year and we got the go ahead.

After finding a customer that was willing to give up his car for the week we had it made - Woo hooooo...

We had a Steel Winch Bar that was airbag compliant but it did not look as good as i thought.

the next step was finding a customer whos GV was not stock as the swb in the first pic was stock and the bull bar looked huge and i knew a Lifted GV that had a couple of accessories would make the bar look completely  different

So my stock of 4 Bull Bars to start the store off were all sold and will all of the customers interstate i would not get the chance to fit them and take a few pics, so next came my XL7 that had a alloy Bull bar on the front but i also wanted a steel bar.

What a difference!!  now you can see just how good the bar came out :-)

So for a Steel winch bull bar that adds protection, gives good approach angles you should contact us today!

Cheap Ebay Pajero Snorkel

Hi all

We had a Valued customer who had purchased a cheap snorkel off ebay and asked us to do the fitting.
I had done a couple in the past and knew they were not straight forward and lacked the fit and finish of the Safari Snorkels but in the end were ok.

So in fitting this snorkel i found lots of the bits from the bolt kit to be missing, i fit allot of snorkels so i have many spare parts for that "just in case"when something is missing or you loose it. so i used my own parts many times.

The hole measurement on the template for the main hole was different from the instructions. Read the instruction over and over again in the process or you will make a wrong step.

The plastic pipes for the connections were just not right to the point that they looked right but what's a couple of mm here and there lol..

Needless to say it took a few hours to do and if im asked again to fit a cheap ebay snorkel i wont say no, i dont say no to work. i will just charge accordingly to the effort needed.

While fitting the snorkel an Outdoor Auto window sticker was added to this Pajero as have done most
of the work on it and sofar the customer is very happy with the work.
( customer asked for sticker )

In the end the snorkel is on and it looks good and will do the job it was made for.
So if you want to get a snorkel for your 4wd, contact us and we will look after you.

Fitting Ssangyong Rexton Snorkel

Hi all

Well we have had a few new products hit our shelves over the last couple of weeks and i can say it has kept us on our toes... lol

The Ssangyong Rexton Snorkel had been available for a while over sea's and from us at Outdoor Auto but this was the first time that we had a chance to fit it in store

The Snorkel came with no instructions and a poor template.
we did our best to line it up with the Rexton and to line the snorkel with that. I would recommend only drilling the main snorkel hole then using the snorkel itself to get the bolt holes. this will save you time and worry with the bolt locations.

Also do not take the hole size on the template as Law. We have a hand belt sander so it was fine to enlarge the hole but by hand this could take a while.

It took us a few hours to get it done but we had a Drill let go in the middle of the job too lol.

The end product was a good looking Snorkel that follows the lines of the A pillar and Guard to give your Rexton a little more off road credibility

Done - one good looking Rexton :-)

Grand Vitara 2 inch Suspension Lift

Hi all

We had this little stock 98 Grand Vitara come in for a suspension lift.
John had decided on the 2inch Lift

This is how the GV looked when it rocked up

We added Dobinson Struts, Extreme Coils, Rancho Shocks
and a set of Camber bolts so the front wheel alignment was correct

Once all was fitted and the wheel alignment was done we
parked the GV out front again to measure the height and to
take the comparison pics

The end result was 60mm in the rear and 50mm in the front

Thanks all for checking out the blog, talk soon

Grand vitara big suspension lift mud tyres

Hi all

We have had a few GVs in lately that have had some fun parts added but the GV that hit our door step yesterday really had a make over!

John wanted to have everything done in at once so we supplied and fitted a 2Inch Suspension Lift and a set of mud tyres

I have been accused of taking pics on lower angles so as to make the 4bs look bigger, so that in mind i tried to take better angles in my pics but i noticed if you get closer to the ground the light is better on the iphone pics!! but in the name of science took them all at a similar angle.... so here goes!

The little GV looked like this when it arrived!

Then the 2inch lift was added

notice im taking the pics at different angles lol......

Then the best part - the Muddies ( 245/75/16 )

To get this Beast of a GV!!

John wanted to see the travel in action so we drove it up a ramp
to see plenty of the rear tyre still on the ground

So to sum up!'

This little GV went from this

225/70/16 road tyres - no lift

To this!!

245/75/16 mud tyres & 2inch Lift

Nice :-)

So if you have a 4wd that you want improved, come in and see us today!!

oh and yes we do tyres now too :-)
